Pizza

Nothing is better then watching your pizza bubbling with cheesy goodness and the anticipation of your first bite. You can make the dough using my recipe or store bought is perfectly fine!!!

Pizza Dough Recipe
 2 packets active dry yeast
 4 cups all purpose flour
 2 tsp granulated sugar
 1 tsp salt
 1 ½ cups warm water
 ¼ cup olive oil
Toppings I used:
1 cup of my homemade tomato jam that I slightly pulsed in a food processor. This jam gives the base for you pizza a sweetness, (recipe for my tomato jam is on my account) or use your favorite marinara sauce.
7 oz or a large ball of Mozzarella di Bufala, torn into pieces, or your favorite melting cheese.
4 -5 ounces of thinly sliced prosciutto, torn and ribboned in between the mozzarella.
4 -5 sprigs of fresh oregano and basil leaves, reserve some for garnish!
 Fresh ground pepper
Really good extra virgin olive oil, drizzled after pizza is baked.

🍕Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well together.

2

🍕Knead the dough for 5 minutes until it forms a smooth ball, cover with a clean kitchen towel and let rest for an hour.

3

🍕You can cut it in two pieces to make two small pizza’s, or four pieces to make personal pizza’s. After cutting knead the dough into smooth balls and let rest 10 additional minutes.

4

🍕Sprinkle the bottom of the pan with semolina flour or fine cornmeal. Or you can spray with cooking oil. Stretch the dough by hand or use a rolling pin to the size of the pan you’re using.

5

Heat oven to 450 or 500 degrees and move the oven rack to the lower part of the oven. Bake for 13-15 minutes, keeping an eye on it.
