This chocolate banana bread is rich and indulgent, but more importantly every bite is decadent with a hint of banana, cocoa and melted semi-sweet chocolate morsels.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour one 9-inch loaf pan
In a large bowl, add mashed bananas, then add sugar, vanilla, whisk in the eggs, and sour cream, mix well to incorporate all the ingredients.
In another bowl whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet, and use a silicone spatula to mix together...don’t over mix. Then add the chocolate morsels and and gently stir.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan, top with chocolate morsels. I used a sharp paring knife to make a split down the center, it makes a unique statement.
Bake for 50 - 55 minutes. Check the bread at 50 minutes by inserting a toothpick in the center to see if its done, if the batter sticks to the toothpick then bake for a few more minutes.
Cool 1/2 hour before removing from the pan and slicing. I know you’ll enjoy this recipe! ❤️
