French Grilled Cheese Sandwich | In The Kitchen with Vesna

This is a decadent sandwich that has saltiness and sweetness at the same time and keeps you going back for another bite! My French Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Yields3 Servings
 6 slices French Boule or Tuscan style bread
 Softened butter
 ½ cup apricot preserves
 ½ cup Fig jam
 1 lb Supreme French Brie cheese–sliced into 1⁄4 inch strips (optional you can remove the rind)
 8 oz Gruyere cheese–slice into 1⁄4 inch thin strips
 ½ lb Thinly sliced Virginia ham

Spread apricot preserves on one slice of the bread and fig jam on the other slice. Place slices of Brie on the fig jam side and loosely layer several slices of ham, then place the gruyere strips on top of the ham and place the apricot slice of bread on top.

Spread softened butter evenly on the outer sides of the bread. In a large pan on medium low heat, place the sandwiches in the pan and cover with a lid. Grill the sandwich about 3–4 minutes per side or until the crust is golden brown and crispy and the cheese is melted. Slice in half and enjoy this deliciousness!
